Kasandra Valdez Injured in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident

 
PHOENIX, AZ (September 17, 2019) – A 29-year-old woman sustained critical injuries after a hit-and-run struck her near 27th Avenue.
 
The car hit 29-year-old Kasandra Valdez while she walked near 27th Avenue and Indian School on September 12.
 
“I just want justice of this person who hit my daughter,” said Manuela Valdez, the victim’s mother.
 
“She was walking and all she remembers is getting struck by a red car, and that’s all she remembers from there,” Manuela Valdez added. “My daughter is in critical condition. She might not even be able to walk again for a long time.”
 
As a result, responders transported Kasandra Valdez to a hospital with several injuries, including a broken leg.
 
“She has multiple fractures in her pelvis and back hip,” her mother said. “[She has] 18 fractures [and] she’s not going to be able to walk [and] she’s got to go to rehab.”
 
“No matter who she is, she’s a person,” Manuela Valdez said. “She’s someone’s daughter, this shouldn’t have happened. All I’m asking is for justice for this person to be found.”
 
Authorities are urging anyone with information to call the Phoenix Police Department.
