Karina Nyboer Injured After Crashing Into Parked Unoccupied Car on 82 Freeway in Grandview

Karina Nyboer Hospitalized in Two-Car Wreck on 82 Freeway Near Milepost 77

 
GRANDVIEW, WA (January 4, 2019) – A 34-year-old woman was hospitalized Friday night after crashing into an unoccupied parked vehicle on the 82 Freeway near Milepost 77.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, state troopers are seeking the identity of the driver who abandoned and parked a 1994 Chrysler Concorde on the right-hand westbound lane of the 82 Freeway.
 
Around 8:30 p.m., Karina E. Nyboer was driving behind a vehicle that swerved to avoid the illegally parked Chrysler. Nyboer had no time to avoid the impending crash and plowed into the car. She was brought to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland for treatment and is now recovering at home.
 
Charges are still pending at this time and anyone with information about the driver’s whereabouts is asked to contact the authorities.
