72-Year-Old Rancho Cucamonga Woman Dies after Car Crash near Benson Avenue
UPLAND, CA (February 15, 2019) – A woman was killed Friday afternoon following a car crash near Benson Avenue. The victim was later identified as 72-year-old Karen Ann Reimer, a resident of Rancho Cucamonga.
According to the Upland Police Department, the incident happened at about 12:01 PM. A slow-speed, minor traffic collision was reported at the intersection of Arrow Highway and Benson Avenue due to unknown circumstances.
Reimer suffered major injuries and was transported to San Antonio Regional Hospital for treatment and evaluation. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at 12:54 PM. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to cooperate with investigators as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
