Justin Gatewood Dead in Riverside Motorcycle Accident on Alamo Street
RIVERSIDE, CA (January 21, 2021) – Thursday night, 20-year-old motorcyclist Justin Gatewood died in a traffic crash on Main Street and Alamo Street.
The authorities received a report of the crash between a motorcycle and a car at around 5:29 p.m. Moreover, it happened at the intersection of Main Street and Alamo Street.
As a result of the crash, the rider sustained major injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the preliminary investigation determined that two off-road motorcycles traveled south on Main Street in the bicycle lane. These two bikes were not street legal yet, and they traveled after dark without forward-facing lights.
On the other hand, a northbound 2014 Subaru Crosstrek made a westbound turn onto Alamo Street. Then, the lead motorcyclist drove across the intersection.
Subsequently, the second rider crashed into the passenger side of the Subaru in the intersection.
The Subaru driver didn’t suffer any injuries in the crash. Also, authorities confirmed that the driver has been cooperative with the investigation.
