2 Hurt in Jurupa Valley Collision
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (February 28, 2019) – A deputy and a driver were injured Monday in a two-car crash at Limonite Avenue and Peralta Place.
The crash took place around 4:15 p.m., according to a sheriff’s spokesman. The Riverside County Sheriff’s deputy reportedly had his emergency lights and siren on as he was responding to a report nearby.
As the deputy headed eastbound on Limonite Avenue, his Ford Explorer was struck by a westbound Honda, whose driver was preparing a left turn onto Peralta Place. The force of the impact sent the Honda to the center divider while the Ford crashed into an electrical box.
The driver of the Honda suffered major injuries and the deputy suffered minor injuries. At this time, the circumstances and liabilities are being determined.
According to reports, neither driver was impaired at the time.
