Jung Moon Killed, Suspect Arrested in Hit-and-Run Crash Near 158th Street Southwest
Lynnwood, CA (December 5, 2020) – On Tuesday, 80-year-old Jung Moon died in a deadly hit-and-run crash near the intersection of 158th Street Southwest and 35th Avenue West.
The victim was walking on the sidewalk near the intersection when a Chevrolet pickup truck drifted and jumped the curb and struck him.
Unfortunately, Moon died at the scene.
The driver, a 53-year-old Lynnwood man, immediately fled the scene.
Furthermore, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed on Moon died from blunt-force injuries caused by the accident.
Meanwhile, the Sheriff’s deputies located the pickup truck less than three miles away.
They arrested the suspect for investigation of vehicular homicide, DUI, and hit-and-run.
Similarly, after conducting field sobriety tests, deputies believe the suspect had been using marijuana.
He is in custody at the Snohomish County Jail with bail set at $250,000.
