Rider Perishes in Julian Motorcycle Wreck
JULIAN, CA (November 19, 2018) – A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon following a collision with an SUV on Highway 79 near Sunrise Highway.
The fatal crash happened around 1:50 p.m. California Highway Patrol reported that a driver of a Toyota 4Runner had struck a motorcyclist and pinned the rider underneath the vehicle.
According to Cal Fire San Diego, the motorcyclist was killed in the crash and the collision left the westbound traffic lane closed.
It was not clear how the incident precisely unfolded but authorities are investigating the details to determine the circumstances.
