Police Investigate Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on West Main Street
BARSTOW, CA (July 3, 2019) – A 63-year-old woman died in Tuesday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident along West Main Street near Delaney Road.
According to news reports, police responded to the 24000 block of West Main Street around 1:00 a.m. Arriving crews found a deceased person lying in the roadway.
Investigators later determined that the woman had been struck by a vehicle that fled from the scene. However, the events leading up are currently unclear at this time.
Now, Barstow police are currently working desperately to locate the vehicle. The car was a black model with possible front-end damage.
Juanita McFall, 63, of Barstow has been identified as the fallen victim.
The surrounding area was also closed off for a brief time while crews worked on preliminary investigation. However, the roadway has since reopened.
