Juan Barajas Villareal and Others Injured in 2-Vehicle Collision on State Route 243 [Mattawa, WA]

Mattawa, WA (March 28, 2023) – At about 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, Juan Barajas Villareal, 42, of Seattle, and his three passengers were injured in a 2-vehicle collision on State Route 243.

Investigating officers said a northbound 2014 Toyota Camry driven by Jayri Ramirez-Garcia, 19, crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2015 Kia Soul driven by Villareal head-on. 

Authorities said Ramirez-Garcia and her passenger, Haley Felker, 20, of Desert Aire, were not injured. 

However, Villareal and his passengers, Rosaura Barajas Castro, 40, Fabiola Nunez, 41, of Seattle, and Juan Nunez Solano, 45, also of Seattle, were all injured. The paramedics rushed them to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland. 

Troopers said alcohol or drugs were involved in the 2-vehicle collision on State Route 243. Ramirez-Garcia is facing vehicular assault charges.
