Carlo Navarro Arrested After Fatal Accident Near Los Cerritos Park Place
LONG BEACH, CA (November 1, 2019) – Joseph Awaida, Raihan Awaida, and Omar Awaida died in a DUI crash on Country Club Drive on Friday.
According to the police, the crash happened at Los Cerritos Park Place. Based on a report, the victims were struck by a suspected DUI driver of a 2002 Toyota Sequoia that failed to make a turn and drove straight onto the sidewalk.
Paramedics transported the family of three to Long Beach Memorial Hospital. Joseph, 30, died on Friday, 3-year-old Omar died on Saturday, while 32-year-old Raihan died on Sunday.
Police arrested the driver of the SUV, 20-year-old Carlo Navarro of Long Beach, for driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter.
