1 Hurt in Florence Pedestrian Accident on Central Avenue
FLORENCE, CA (December 18, 2019) – A 39-year-old man sustained injuries after a hit-and-run driver struck him on Central Avenue.
Around 11:30 p.m., 39-year-old Jose Ortega got hit by a car as he crossed Central Avenue and 67th Street.
“A vehicle described as a four-door, black or dark blue Kia was traveling southbound when it collided with a pedestrian,” a statement revealed. “The driver of the Kia failed to stop and identify him/herself and render aid as required by law.”
There’s a standing $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the driver involved in the crash.
As the police search for the hit-and-run vehicle and driver, they’re also looking for the victim’s relatives.
