Johnisha Brown of Long Beach Killed in Seventh Street Accident [Long Beach, CA]

Long Beach, CA (July 30, 2024) – 33-year-old Johnisha Brown of Long Beach was killed in a Seventh Street accident Saturday afternoon.

It was about 5:20 p.m. on July 20 when the fatal crash happened at the intersection with Stanley Avenue.

Investigators said an eastbound 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 50-year-old Long Beach resident struck Brown near the intersection. 

Immediately, the Long Beach Fire Department paramedics rushed Brown to a hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead Tuesday.

The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Investigators do not consider speed, drugs, or alcohol as contributing factors in the fatal accident. They believe the pedestrian was crossing the street outside a marked crosswalk.
