1 Dead in San Diego Car Crash on Meandro Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 10, 2020) – A 71-year-old man died in a car crash on Meandro Drive on January 6.
The authorities identified John Benson Atcheson of San Diego as the victim of the car crash. According to reports, Atcheson drove a 2018 Chevrolet Bolt about 6:20 p.m. when he turned from Meandro Drive onto Rancho Bernardo Road.
Meanwhile, a 23-year-old female driver of an eastbound 2001 Toyota Tacoma on Rancho Bernardo Road couldn’t avoid the crash.
The medical responders rendered aid to John Benson Atcheson. However, he died in an ambulance on the way to Palomar Medical Center, the Medical Examiner’s Office revealed.
Meanwhile, paramedics also transported the Toyota driver to a hospital for treatment of a broken collarbone and a broken tailbone.
