Joel Stevens Dies, Vehicle Struck Fire Hydrant on Hazel Avenue
Fair Oaks, CA (December 5, 2020) – On Monday, 17-year-old Joel Stevens of Orangevale died in a vehicle crash on Hazel Avenue and Madison Avenue.
The fatal accident took place at about 10 P.M.
Stevens was killed when his vehicle struck a fire hydrant, launching it on top of a group of electrical boxes.
California Highway Patrol believes speed was a factor in the accident. They are investigating the incident.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
