58-Year-Old Joe Silva Killed in Fresno Crash
Fresno, CA (January 21, 2022) – On Thursday, 58-year-old Joe Silva of Fresno sustained fatal injuries in a head-on crash on Golden State Boulevard.
The fatal collision happened at the intersection with Ashlan Avenue.
The authorities said the silver pickup truck driver was involved in an earlier hit-and-run collision at Highway 41 and Highway 180.
Then, the driver drove on Highway 180 and reached Highway 99 where he went north at a high rate of speed. He lost control of the vehicle and crossed into oncoming traffic.
The truck collided head-on into a black truck driven by Silva in the opposite direction.
Moreover, the victim from the initial hit-and-run collision followed the truck and called 911.
Unfortunately, Silva died in the collision while the rescuers took the truck driver and his passenger via ambulance.
The authorities are investigating this fatal crash.
