19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed, Jesus Alejandro Involved in Modesto Crash
Modesto, CA (May 29, 2021) – On Friday, a 19-year-old motorcyclist from Modesto died, and 36-year-old Jesus Alejandro of Ceres, was involved in a crash on Coffee Road.
Officers responded to the accident scene at about 1:45 p.m. at the Crawford intersection, north of Claribel Road.
The authorities said Alejandro was driving a 1996 Ford Explorer north on Coffee Road. With him was a 35-year-old passenger.
At the same time, the motorcyclist was also northbound behind the SUV.
At some point, the motorcyclist crashed with the front left side of the SUV. Then, the motorcyclist was thrown into a field next to the roadway.
Rescuers took him to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injures about three hours later.
Meanwhile, no one in the 1996 Ford Explorer was injured in the accident.
Officers are investigating what caused the fatal crash. Alejandro passed a field sobriety test.
