Jerry Hill Killed in Deer Valley Road ATV Collision [Antioch, CA]

Antioch, CA (July 12, 2023) – On Saturday, Jerry Hill, 51, sustained fatal injuries following a Deer Valley Road ATV collision.

The fatal collision happened at 9:27 p.m. near Wildflower Drive.

Investigating officers said a 19-year-old female driver was northbound in the southbound lane of Deer Valley when she struck the ATV driven by Hill. As a result, Hill was thrown from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the suspect’s vehicle incurred a head injury and was transported to a hospital.

Police said after the accident the suspect and two other passengers in her vehicle fled on foot. But they were followed by witnesses, who alerted responding officers. Authorities said she appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Moreover, the authorities arrested the 19-year-old female driver who posted bail a few hours after she was arrested Saturday on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol in the death. Officers said the she had not been formally charged as of Tuesday morning.
