Jeffrey Webber and Lionel Robin Killed in Plane Collision Near Highway 20 and 5 Freeway
COLUSA, CA (January 9, 2019) – Two men were found dead after a small airplane crashed near Highway 20 and the 5 Freeway in south Colusa Monday.
According to the Colusa County Sheriff’s office, deputies arrived at the scene to find the bodies of 71-year-old Lionel Robin, of Arnaudville, La., and 66-year-old Jeffrey Webber, of Healdsburg.
Deputies received a call from the Federal Aviation officials indicating that a private plane shuttling two passengers and a dog crashed approximately 2 miles south of Colusa. At the crash site, deputies also found a dog that was severely injured.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Traffic Safety Board are investigating what caused the plane to go down.
