Jeanine Salisbury Dead in La Habra DUI Collision
LA HABRA, CA (February 11, 2019) – Sunday night’s six-car crash at West Lambert Road and South Idaho Street left one person dead and six others with injuries.
The fatal victim was identified as Jeanine Salisbury, 49, of Anaheim, according to Orange County Coroner’s investigator Kelly Keyes.
The crash happened at 7:09 p.m. near the intersection of West Lambert Road and South Idaho Street, said Los Angeles County Fire Capt. John Butorovich. In a statement, the police department said a vehicle traveling eastbound on Lambert hit another vehicle traveling northbound on Idaho.
Butorovich said Salisbury was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision and six others were hurt.
Firefighters removed two individuals from the wreckage of their vehicles. Information on the extent of the injuries to all involved was not immediately available.
A driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the police statement said.
Alcohol or drug impairment may have played a role in the crash, the La Habra Police Department said in a statement.
The police traffic unit was investigating and said if witnesses have information about the collision, they can contact the department at 562 383-4300 and ask to speak to a traffic investigator.
