Jason Shergold Dies After Colliding With Car on Highway 95 Near 40 Freeway

 
NEEDLES, CA (April 29, 2019) – A Friday morning motorcycle and vehicle crash on Highway 95 near the 40 Freeway claimed a life.
 
Around 6:59 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene near mile marker 79 to investigate a head-on collision.
 
Arriving officers learned that a motorcycle and an undisclosed vehicle collided under unknown circumstances. Shortly after, Baker ambulance personnel arrived and declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
 
Jason Shergold, a 48-year-old citizen of England, was the fatal victim identified by authorities.
 
Information concerning the other driver and the cause of the collision were unavailable. However, authorities are investigating whether factors such as speed or distracted driving played a role.
