Motorcyclist Missing for 10 Days Found Deceased along Highway 116 in Petaluma
PETALUMA, CA (May 28, 2019) – A man who had been missing for 10 days was found dead next to his crashed motorcycle alongside Petaluma road.
The body was found Tuesday morning by Caltrans workers who were cutting high grass along Lakeville Highway, also known as Highway 116.
Officials of Sonoma County identified the man as Jason Roseveare, 40, of El Dorado Hills.
Crash evidence indicated Roseveare had run off the roadway and hit a fence. He then crashed his motorcycle into a drainage culvert near the highway’s intersection with the South McDowell Extension, across from Harvest Christian School.
It is unclear when the crash exactly occurred, but Roseveare’s family had been searching for him for over 10 days.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, but authorities do not believe any other vehicles were involved. Further investigation is underway.
