Jason Freitas Arrested in 632 Ninth Street DUI Crash [Turlock, CA]

Turlock, CA (January 21, 2023) – On January 17, the authorities arrested Jason Freitas, 39, of Turlock, in a 632 Ninth Street DUI crash injuring a child.

The traffic incident took place at about 2:50 p.m. wherein a 2000 Chevrolet S-10, a black 1999 Honda Accord, and an unknown vehicle, were involved.

Officers said Jason Freitas and a child were riding the S-10. The American Medical Response transported the child to an area hospital with minor injuries

The other two involved vehicles were parked and unoccupied.

When the authorities began speaking with Freitas, they noticed that he was showing objective symptoms of being under the influence.

The authorities determined that Freitas was under the influence of alcohol during that time.

As a result, officers arrested Freitas and provided two evidentiary breath samples at the scene wherein both revealed that Freitas had a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater.

Officers booked Freitas into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury to another person, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater causing injury to another person, and child abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death. 

Also, the California Department of Motor Vehicles issued Freitas an administrative driver’s license suspension order and they impounded his vehicle.
