James Wickham and Allen Wells Hospitalized, Julius Lewis Uninjured in 3-Car Crash on 90 Freeway Near North Liberty Lake Road
LIBERTY LAKE, WA (May 15, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in a three-vehicle accident Saturday on the 90 Freeway near North Liberty Lake Road.
According to the Washington State Patrol, 19-year-old Allen Wells struck the rear of a Chevrolet Malibu after heading eastbound in a Ford Taurus.
Subsequently, his vehicle veered to the right shoulder and hit a Washington State Patrol vehicle whose trooper was pulled over to assist a disabled car.
James Wickham – the 42-year-old trooper – suffered unknown injuries and sought treatment at Valley Medical Center. Paramedics, however, treated Wells at the scene.
As far as the Chevrolet Malibu driver – 35-year-old Julius Lewis – he escaped the three-car crash unharmed.
According to WSP, Wells may have fallen asleep at the wheel which might have contributed to the crash.
