James Nixon Unharmed in Fatal Collision With Motorist on 10 Freeway near Haugen Lehmann Way
BANNING, CA (December 18, 2018) – A Rialto woman was killed Monday morning when her vehicle collided with a big rig on the 10 Freeway near Haugen Lehmann Way
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash was reported around 10:30 a.m. The unidentified woman was operating a 2007 Dodge Nitro. Reports noted that the 52-year-old was trying to overtake a big rig as her car drifted into the front area of the rig and resulted in a crash that caused her car to rotate and overturn. The Dodge tumbled down an embankment, trapping the woman inside and causing her fatal injuries.
The big rig driver, identified as 48-year-old James Nixon from Woodstock, Ga., was unharmed.
Authorities are investigating the liabilities of this crash to determine the underlying cause.
