2 People Hurt in Spokane Accident on Montgomery Drive and Dartmouth Lane
SPOKANE, WA (April 27, 2021) – Sunday night, Jacob Woodward and another suffered injuries in a crash on Montgomery Drive and Dartmouth Lane.
The initial incident happened when a deputy tried to stop 27-year-old Jacob A. Woodward at about 11:25 p.m. This happened near North Pines Road and East Trent Avenue when the deputy noticed Woodward’s “poor driving pattern.” The deputy suspected that he might be impaired.
Initially, Woodward slowed down but he continued south on Pines Road at a high speed. Also, he ignored traffic lights and signs.
Thus, some Spokane County and Spokane Valley deputies came to help in the pursuit. As Woodward traveled west on East Montgomery Drive and East of North Dartmouth Lane, he lost control.
Then, he crashed into rocks and a fence before coming to a stop.
As a result, Woodward and his passenger suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Responders took both of them to the hospital.
Moreover, authorities found and collected drug paraphernalia. Woodward remained at the hospital as of 4:00 p.m. Monday.
Meanwhile, Woodward might face several charges for vehicular assault, attempting to elude a police vehicle, and driving under the influence. Both of them have an active felony warrant out for their arrest and additional charges are possible.
The Spokane Valley Fire Department and AMR personnel also came to the scene.
