Motorcyclist Dies, Pamela Gilmore Arrested for DUI Crash on Plumeria Drive
El Cajon, CA (December 15, 2020) – On Monday, Pamela Gilmore was arrested in a fatal DUI crash on Plumeria Drive that left Ivan Kreft dead.
The deadly DUI accident happened at about 7:05 a.m. when Gilmore was driving a 2011 Kia Sportage northbound on Plumeria Drive. Apparently, she was about to head westbound on Pepper Drive.
At the same time, 32-year-old El Cajon man Ivan Kreft rode a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000 motorcycle eastbound on Pepper Drive, approaching Plumeria Drive.
As Gilmore, of Santee, entered the intersection, the motorcyclist crashed into the left side of Gilmore’s vehicle and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Immediately, the responders took him to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Later reports say the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, 59-year-old Gilmore sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment. Her 83-year-old passenger did not sustain injuries.
Moreover, authorities took Gilmore to CHP’s El Cajon office for investigation. They said she was under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol.
As a result, authorities booked Gilmore at Los Colinas Women’s Detention Facility for felony DUI causing injury and gross vehicular manslaughter. Also, her bail was set at $100,000.
