MERCED, CA (September 20, 2019) – A man died after his motorcycle was struck by a car Friday afternoon in Merced, CHP officials said.
The crash happened around 2:26 p.m. at the intersection of Santa Fe Drive and Avenue 2.
According to the CHP, a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling east on Santa Fe Drive at an unknown speed. As it approached the Avenue 2 intersection, a 2001 Nissan Altima, driven by 61-year-old Debra Ann Lay of Winton, turned left from Avenue 2 after stopping at the stop sign.
