Isable Ramirez and 8-Year-Old Daughter Hospitalized in Moses Lake Vehicle Crash
Moses Lake, WA (October 17, 2020) – On Wednesday, 28-year-old Isable Ramirez of Moses Lake and her 8-year-old daughter were injured in a vehicle crash on Highway 17.
The incident happened at 9:10 a.m. about eight miles south of Moses Lake, wherein the victim’s vehicle crashed with a potato truck.
Immediately, the rescuers took Ramirez to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake and her daughter was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane.
Furthermore, the daughter’s injuries were serious but non-fatal, said Trooper John Bryant of the Washington State Patrol.
Moreover, the authorities have not yet determined the cause of the accident. However, the 1993 Nissan Sentra driven by Ramirez hit the rear left of the potato truck driven by 68-year-old Rosalio Garza-Perez of Othello.
Additionally, Bryant said potato harvest is in full swing in the area with numerous trucks coming and going on that section of the highway.
Scan the road 1/2 mile to a full mile ahead in order to recognize potential hazards. Our bodies weren’t designed to travel at 50mph. We were designed for speeds of less than 10mph. Thus, you need to learn to consciously break that natural instinct and focus farther ahead.
