4 Hospitalized in Irwindale After Three Cars Crash

 
IRWINDALE, CA (February 8, 2019) – Four people were injured, including a woman in critical condition, following Thursday’s three-car crash on East Foothill Boulevard near Irwindale Avenue.
 
The incident happened around 1:55 p.m. between Irwindale Avenue and Encanto Parkway, Irwindale police Lt. John Fraijo said.
 
Three people suffered injuries of lesser severity and were brought to Foothill Presbyterian Hospital for treatment. The fourth patient, a female, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center in Pomona.
 
Authorities investigating the crash encouraged drivers to avoid the area.
 
There were no details surrounding the cause or details of the collision, but a follow-up investigation is underway.
