Halloran Springs, CA (January 28, 2023) On Friday morning, a mechanic working on a disabled big rig was killed in a traffic collision on northbound Interstate 15.

CHP says that the fatal big rig collision happened around 4:08 a.m. on northbound I-15 about a mile after Halloran Springs Road.

Reports say that a semi hauling paper products crashed into the back of the parked big rig hauling about 43,000 pounds of glass. The collision killed the male mechanic was working underneath the semi.

Meanwhile, the other big rig driver sustained serious injuries.

CHP is investigating the deadly traffic collision and have not released further details about the incident.
