Injuries Reported in San Mateo Train Collision on 25th Avenue
SAN MATEO, CA (September 9, 2019) – An unknown number of people sustained injuries in a car and train collision on 25th Avenue on September 6.
The crash involving a Caltrain’s southbound train No. 272 happened at the 25th Avenue grade crossing just before 6:00 p.m.
Caltrain spokeswoman Tasha Bartholomew revealed that the car occupants received treatment at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 600 passengers on the train didn’t suffer any injury.
The crash stopped the train operations in the area. Meanwhile, Caltrain cleared both tracks for train movement at maximum authorized speeds just before 7:00 p.m.
