Injuries Reported in Hit-and-Run Crash on Southeast 272nd Street [Covington, WA]

Covington, WA (November 18, 2021) – On early Monday, injuries were reported in a hit-and-run crash on Southeast 272nd Street.

Officers responded to the scene at Highway 18 wherein road rage was reported.

Witnesses said the road rage was between the driver of a Honda and a Ford F-Series truck.

Apparently, both drivers made illegal U-turns and drove westbound.  Honda collided with a Kenworth truck loaded with lumber.

The Honda driver ran from the scene right after the incident. 

Similarly, the F-Series truck also left the scene.

Moreover, the authorities said at least four other vehicles sustained damages when the Kenworth truck rolled over. 

Luckily, only minor injuries were reported in this crash.

Meanwhile, the officers closed the intersection for hours while the crew cleared the scene from a significant oil and gas spill.

“Fleeing from an injury accident is a class-B felony in Washington state, which is one reason King County deputies will continue their efforts to identity the two drivers responsible for this seven-vehicle crash,” an officer said
