Atascadero Auto Accident on Highway 101 and San Anselmo Road
ATASCADERO, CA (April 25, 2021) – Friday afternoon, an impaired driver required hospitalization after a crash on Highway 101 and San Anselmo Road.
Officer Jose Meza of the CHP confirmed that the crash occurred at 1:40 p.m. Moreover, it happened on Highway 101-Northbound, north of San Anselmo Road.
According to reports, a 73-year-old Nissan Titan driver experienced an unknown medical event. Moreover, his wife said that he went blank and began holding his chest.
Then, he began braking the vehicle. Thus, his wife veered the vehicle to the shoulder of the road.
Afterward, a semi-truck clipped the slowing Nissan. Meanwhile, the wife tried to park the Nissan until it came to a stop.
Also, responders took the driver to Twin Cities Hospital, CHP revealed.
