Ignacio Vargas Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on 130th Street [Gardena, CA]

Ignacio Vargas Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 130th Street

 
Gardena, CA (January 10, 2021) – On Friday, 59-years-old Ignacio Vargas of Compton was killed in a deadly hit-and-run crash on 130th Street.
 
Authorities responded to the crash scene at about 5:55 p.m. to a report of a man lying in the 1400 block area, near Normandie Avenue.
 
When they arrived, they located Vargas, not breathing.
 
Unfortunately, Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were unable to revive him.
 
Meanwhile, an investigation determined his injuries were consistent with being hit and run over by a vehicle.
 
Authorities do not have a description of the involved vehicle. They ask anyone who witnessed the incident to call Investigator Jose Zamudio at 310-217- 6189.
