One Killed in Yakima County Big Rig Crash
Yakima County, WA (October 24, 2021) – On Saturday, a Hyundai driver died in Myers Road semi-truck crash.
The fatal incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection with State Highway 22.
Investigators said that a driver of a southbound 2012 Hyundai Elantra failed to stop at a stop sign.
At the same time, a big rig with two freight trailers was westbound on State Highway 22.
As a result, the big rig crashed with the Hyundai.
The Hyundai Elantra driver died at the scene.
Moreover, it is unknown if the Elantra driver was wearing a seatbelt during the crash, or if any drugs or alcohol was involved.
Officers withheld the deceased’s name pending next of kin.
