Horrific Traffic Crash on Belt Line Road Led to Death [Grand Prairie, TX]

Grand Prairie, TX (October 8, 2024) On Monday morning, a person was killed in a horrific traffic crash on Belt Line Road.

According to the Grand Prairie Police (GPPD), the deadly head-on collision happened around 10:40 a.m. on S. Belt Line Road near Lone Star Park.

Reports say that Grand Prairie Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on on S. Belt Line Road.

Officials say that a Chevrolet passenger car traveling northbound veered into the southbound lanes for unknown reasons, colliding head-on with a Dodge passenger van. Both drivers were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel. The driver of the Dodge van is expected to survive. Authorities are withholding the identity of the deceased until the next of kin have been notified. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
