BEAUMONT, CA (May 2, 2023) – Monday morning, a horrific pedestrian crash on 6th Street and Highland Springs Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 8:43 a.m. in the area of 6th Street and Highland Springs Avenue.

According to several 911 calls, the incident involved a commercial truck and a pedestrian.

When the authorities arrived, they found an 85-year-old woman injured in the road. CalFire crews arrived and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Moreover, the truck driver remained at the crash scene and has been cooperative with law enforcement.

Also, the crash shut down the intersection for several hours so traffic investigators could conduct their investigation at the scene.
