1 Dead in Austin Jetski and Boat Crash on Lake Travis

AUSTIN, TX (August 14, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a horrific jetski and boat accident on Lake Travis killed 1 person.

The incident happened just before 3:00 p.m. on Lake Travis.

According to reports, the crash involved a boat and a jetski which killed one person and hospitalized another.

Upon the EMS’ arrival, they found four to five possible patients. Then, they initiated CPR efforts on another person.

However, despite life-saving efforts, the person succumbed to injuries at the scene. That person’s identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Then, responders took another person to the hospital, and had “potentially serious injuries,” EMS officials added.

After the crash, the boat came to Captain Pete’s Boathouse at at 18200 Lakepoint Cove, ATCEMS added.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
