AUBURN, CA (January 4, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a horrific hit-and-run crash on State Route 49 near Bell Road killed one person.
The incident happened at around 1:13 a.m. on southbound State Route 49, north of Bell Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound vehicle struck a pedestrian, and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.
