HOUSTON, TX (May 11, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a horrific hit-and-run accident on Gulf Freeway and Cullen Boulevard killed 2 people.

The incident happened at around 12:11 a.m. on Gulf Freeway and Cullen Boulevard.

According to reports, a maroon pickup truck rear-ended a southbound white Coleman motorcycle scooter and then fled the scene without stopping. Then, multiple vehicles struck the two occupants of the scooter who were already down on the pavement.

Moreover, responders pronounced the male and female rider of the scooter, dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities asked anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver to call the HPD Hit-and-Run Unit at (713) 247-4072 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS.
