1 Person Dead in Compton Auto Accident on North Long Beach Boulevard near Rosecrans Avenue

COMPTON, CA (September 4, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a horrific head-on crash on North Long Beach Boulevard near Rosecrans Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 1:00 p.m. at the 1400 block of North Long Beach Boulevard, near the intersection of Bullis Road and Rosecrans Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle was shot at the intersection of Bullis Road and Rosecrans Avenue. Then, as the vehicle continued traveling, it collided head-on with another vehicle.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver with a gunshot wound, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the second driver to a hospital with minor injuries.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
