1 Dead in Torrance Auto Accident on Anza Avenue and Torrance Boulevard

TORRANCE, CA (November 26, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a horrific 2-vehicle crash on Anza Avenue and Torrance Boulevard killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 3:50 p.m. at the intersection of Anza Avenue and Torrance Boulevard, the Torrance Police Department added.

Moreover, a 24-year-old man driving a 2020 Dodge Charger crashed with a 2003 Toyota Echo driven by the 89-year-old victim, said Lt. Ronald Harris.

Harris confirmed that the woman was taken from her vehicle by responding officers. Then, they immediately provided life-saving measures before being transported to a hospital, where she was later declared dead.

Moreover, the driver of the Charger suffered no injuries.

Also, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Moreover, the area at Anza Avenue between Torrance Boulevard and Lenore Street was shut down for approximately four hours during the investigation.

Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the crash to contact the Torrance Police Department’s Traffic Division at 310-618-5557.
