1 Dead in Rio Linda Auto Accident on 6th Street and W Elkhorn Boulevard

RIO LINDA, CA (November 30, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a horrific 2-vehicle crash on 6th Street and W Elkhorn Boulevard killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at around 5:44 a.m. on 6th Street and W Elkhorn Boulevard in Rio Linda.

According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the collision involved a vehicle and a utility truck. Also, one person died in the crash.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the truck struck the side of a Honda. After the crash, the solo driver of the truck appeared to be OK and was walking around.

Meanwhile, two people occupied the Honda at the time of the crash. Responders took the male driver in his 50s to a nearby hospital. However, the male passenger in his 30s succumbed to injuries at the scene.

Reports added that the two men were driving to work when the collision occurred.
