Highway 50 2-Car Crash Injures Several People [El Dorado Hills, CA]

People Injured in Mercedes-Mazda Collision on Highway 50

El Dorado Hills, CA (August 02. 2022) On Sunday afternoon, several people were hurt in a 2-car crash on Highway 50.

Authorities say that a 2001 Mercedes sedan collided with a 2015 Mazda SUV at 4:40 p.m. after an initial solo-vehicle crash earlier that day.

At 3:40 p.m. the CHP, El Dorado Hills FD, and Medic 89 responded to the initial crash, where an overturned Ford F-150 truck and Winnebago RV blocked 2 lanes of the highway.

Afterward, the Mercedes-Mazda collision happened and resulted in minor injuries. Paramedics provided treatment to victims on the scene.

Inspect your vehicle’s headlights and turn signals. Be sure that both front and rear headlamps are working properly and visible enough a couple of yards away.

Also, take a reading of your tire pressure and make sure you maintain the recommended maximum. While at it, take a peek under your vehicle and ensure there are no loose objects or leaks.

Most importantly, stay focused while on the road. Remove all distractions that could cause accidents such as mobile phone use, unstrapped toddlers, etc.
