Injuries Reported in SR-138 Fatal Collision
Lancaster, CA (July 28, 2022) On Thursday morning, a child on a gray Ford F-250 died in a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 138.
The CHP says the fatal collision happened at around 11:55 a.m. near 300th Street West.
Reports say that the Ford occupied by a driver and two children, crashed in the area then rolled over multiple times and landed on its roof. The vehicle ejected both children inside.
Meanwhile, the circumstances of how the crash happened remained unclear.
Paramedics and a good samaritan performed CPR on one child who lost consciousness. LACFD responded to the scene and pronounced the child dead at the scene.
The driver and the other child both sustained injuries, but the extent of the injuries was not disclosed.
Authorities are investigating the incident. Officials closed eastbound lanes of SR-138 for an unspecified amount of time.
