Injuries Reported in Deadly Multi-Vehicle Crash near Story Road
San Jose, CA (February 3, 2023) On Wednesday morning, a rear-end crash on northbound Highway 101 killed a 39-year-old man from Gilroy.
CHP says that the deadly multi-vehicle crash happened at around 5:55 a.m. on northbound US-101, just north of Story Road.
Reports say that a 19-year-old male driver from Gilroy was driving a 2004 Toyota that rear-ended the 2007 Toyota that the 39-year-old Gilroy man was driving.
The collision caused the 2004 Toyota to lose control and hit a big rig on the other lane. Authorities pronounced the 39-year-old man dead at the scene.
Meanwhile the 19-year-old man sustained moderate injuries and paramedics transported him to San Jose Regional Medical Center.
