Bicyclist Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver in Hesperia
HESPERIA, CA (December 27, 2018) – A bicyclist was airlifted to a hospital Tuesday night after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on Main Street Near Tamarisk Avenue Christmas evening.
Around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, a bicyclist was struck by a driver in the 14300 block of Main Street. Firefighters arrived and requested a helicopter to airlift the male victim to an out of trauma center after he had suffered a major head injury.
According to reports, the impact sent him approximately 25 feet from the point of impact. He was believed to be riding across Main Street when he was hit by a car.
Because details regarding the hit-and-run driver remain scant, authorities are seeking the public’s help in pursuing the vehicle and suspect.
