Pedestrian Rushed to Hospital After Being Hit by Car in Hemet
HEMET, CA (February 26, 2019) – A pedestrian, believed to be jaywalking, suffered serious injuries Saturday evening when a vehicle struck the victim in the 1200 block of West Florida Avenue near South Elk Street.
The crash happened in front of Quality Inn along West Florida Avenue, drawing Hemet police and fire departments to the scene. Around 6:10 p.m., 911 callers informed emergency personnel that the victim was not moving.
Arriving officials transported the patient to Hemet Valley Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The motorist who struck the pedestrian stayed on site and was questioned by police investigators. Information, whether alcohol or drugs played a role, was not available.
