Passenger Heather Cooper Dead in Apple Valley Accident near Bear Valley Road

APPLE VALLEY, CA (August 18, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, Heather Cooper, 65, died in a multi-vehicle crash near Bear Valley Road and Tujunga Drive.

The fatal accident occurred at 12:46 p.m. near Bear Valley Road and Tujunga Drive.

According to reports, the Apple Valley crash involved a Robertson’s double-trailer powder hauler, a 2017 Subaru Foster, and a four-door Mazda sedan.

When the firefighters arrived, they found four patients at the scene. Two of them were immediate, two delayed, and one dead.

Then, they called for two airships and reported the driver of the semi was trapped.

After 45 minutes of extrication, responders airlifted the semi-driver to Loma Linda University Medical Center in stable condition. Meanwhile, the other critical patient was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

Meanwhile, the crash led to a hard road closure along Bear Valley Road in both directions for several hours.

According to the San Bernardino County Coroner, Lucerne Valley resident Heather Cooper died in the crash.
