Head-On Collision near Interstate 15 Injures Driver [Apple Valley, CA]

Apple Valley, CA (April 15, 2023) On Thursday evening, a head-on collision near Interstate 15 left an innocent driver with injuries.

According to the CHP, at about 7:40 pm, Barstow law enforcement was in pursuit of the stolen white pickup truck when the head-on crash at Stoddard Wells Road happened.

Reports say that the pick up had CA-exempt plates, the suspect driver exited the I-15 freeway and collided head-on with a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.

After the collision, the suspect driver fled on foot, into the open desert. CHP and Apple Valley Police Department are assisting in locating the currently active suspect.

Meanwhile, rescuers extricated the Toyota driver out of the vehicle, medics transported the driver to a hospital, his injuries are non-life-threatening.

Authorities are investigating the head-on collision.
